I wrote this track when I finally found self-confidence. Using the phrase, "Believe in Me" was something tricky for me because it felt wrong. I had never said I believed in anything before except for God. I grew up with the teaching that we should never depend on ourselves because we are not worthy without Him.

However, I've come to realize that the talents and abilities that I have are because He made me that way. While I depend on Him to change my attitude and be a better person, I can't deny that I already had all these things I thought I needed.
